Cat 2 in combination with the following FURUNO MU190, HATTELAND 19", 20" and 24" monitors

INTERSWITCH FUNCTION

It is possible to connect different series of nautical radars including: FAR-2xx8, FAR-2xx7, FAR-3xx0 and FAR-15x8*.

* The HUB-100 is sufficient for the connection of 2 nautical radars in the network, while the HUB-3000 is necessary for 3 or more devices. Both provided as OPTIONAL.
* On the other hand, the connection with the FAR-15x8 model is only available in the REPEATER version.

FAST TARGET TRACKING™ (ARPA)

The target tracking™ (ARPA) function has been significantly improved by significantly reducing the target acquisition time. All the new FAR-15XX series nautical radars feature the advanced ARPA 50 fast tracking targets acquisition feature with which the nautical radar is able to lock on to targets automatically in just a few moments.

Fan-less Solid State antenna dramatically reduces maintenance costs for the magnetron and CPU fan.

RADAR OVERLAY ON ECDIS AND MAXSEA TIME ZERO

As on other nautical radar models, the FAR2XX8 series also allows the overlapping of the radar beat (Overlay) both on ECDIS devices and on MaxSea TIMEZERO software. An Ethernet connection between the two peripherals is sufficient to activate this function.

WIDE DISPLAY COMPATIBLE

The FAR-2xx8 series provides compatibility with WIDESCREEN format monitors also in the IMO version. The WIDE approved monitors are the FURUNO MU-270W and the HATTELAND models from 26" to 55". Despite the different sizes, the number of PPI remains unchanged in order to clearly show on the screen the data necessary for navigation as per legislation. The convenient InstantAccess bar™ allows, through a series of very intuitive icons, to change the radar settings with a simple click of the trackball.

AUTOMATIC CLUTTER ELIMINATION (ACE)

This new feature allows the improvement of target visualization through a dedicated ACE command. Once activated, the system automatically adjusts the clutter, gain, anti-sea and anti-rain filters based on the user's preset (calm/rough sea/heavy rain).

CONTROL UNIT

The FAR-2XX8 series uses an intuitive professional keyboard with dedicated functions that can be recalled with a simple click.
