THE FAR22X8 RADAR SERIES IS SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR SOLAS VESSELS.
FAST TARGET TRACKING™
The target tracking™ (ARPA) function has been significantly improved by significantly reducing the target acquisition time. All the new FAR-15XX series nautical radars feature the advanced ARPA 50 fast tracking targets acquisition feature with which the nautical radar is able to lock on to targets automatically in just a few moments.
SOLID-STATE RADAR (WITHOUT MAGNETRON)
Furuno solid-state marine radars emphasize quality and reliability while meeting the rigorous demands of the marine environment.
Echo clarity
Furuno Solid State technology generates clear echo images, allowing users to get a clear picture of the area around the vessel, including the faintest echoes from small vessels.
Reduction of maintenance and operating costs
There's no need to replace the magnetron, and there are fewer consumable parts due to the fanless design—the fanless solid-state antenna significantly reduces maintenance costs for the magnetron and processor fan.
Power comparable to a conventional magnetron radar.

Automatic Clutter Elimination (ACE)
This new feature allows the improvement of target visualization through a dedicated ACE command. Once activated, the system automatically adjusts the clutter, gain, anti-sea and anti-rain filters based on the user's preset (calm/rough sea/heavy rain).
OPTIMIZED ANTENNA DESIGN
The FAR22x8 series marine radars are designed to provide clearer and more accurate radar images of the environment, increasing reliability and reducing total cost of ownership with easy maintenance.
High picture quality is achieved by the signal processor inside the antenna which directly converts analog signals into digital signals before sending them to the main processor. The signals are transported securely over the Ethernet network between the antenna and the processing unit.
The antenna has been redesigned to reduce drag which eases the environmental load on the mechanism. This, with a brand new brushless motor, which results in a very reliable motor over time.
Installation and maintenance are now easier than ever. All GearBox components are integrated in one block that can be easily removed from the antenna when maintenance is required. The antenna cable can be connected to the antenna side.

Ease of use is very important on long journeys. With this in mind, the keyboard and Trackball design are ergonomically designed to fit the operator's hand. All operations can be controlled with the trackball. A trackball with remote control is also available as an option.
