Shore-Based maintenance Agreement
The SBM certificate, which is part of our Shore-Based Maintenance Agreement, is a condition to comply with IMOs SOLAS GMDSS regulations. Furuno does not only offer you such an agreement, we know exactly how to maintain our equipment for smooth operation, low downtime and a successful result at the annual Radio Survey.

Service Level Agreement
Furuno's Service Level Agreement (SLA) establishes clear service expectations and solutions for maintenance issues, fostering strong relationships with clients and promoting transparency and reliability in service delivery.

This ensures optimal equipment performance without unexpected costs. Customers can choose the level of planning, execution, and responsibility Furuno will assume for services.

From a basic contract only covering the annuals via middle-sized contracts including preventive maintenance, consumable parts and an annual health check to the full maintenance contract each combination of services is possible. Our full maintenance contract covers all services, all parts, even new equipment if the old one is beyond repair and traveling as agreed for a fixed annual fee. No unpleasant surprises for the shipowner and heavily reduced work as Furuno will survey all due dates.

Thanks to our knowledge of Furuno equipment we schedule preventive exchanges when it is really needed. This reduces emergency services and spare parts can be sent in advance at lower costs. As a result, a full maintenance contract is likely to be cheaper than arranging services on the spot. This combined with the fact that the downtime is reduced, and the shipowner will have less work and less stress, make the full maintenance service contract an economical and hassle-free solution.
