HermAce is a remote monitoring tool that uses digital twin technology to remotely monitor the status of electronic equipment onboard while ensuring the security of the ship's network. Data from Furuno's navigation and communication equipment can be collected, distributed, and monitored in real time, enabling quick support of ships.
A new diagnostic tool called Furuno Tips encapsulates Furuno's 70+ years of technological expertise into a digital solution,
providing insightful information and troubleshooting capabilities that allow customers to quickly take action when alerts occur.
HermAce can also deliver Navigation equipment information to shore, automatically update ENC charts, remotely update software, and minimize the time required for annual VDR inspections, depending on customer needs.
Lloyd's Register "Digital Twin Ready"
HermAce is a tool capable of detecting, diagnosing, and predicting errors in the Furuno Equipment using Digital Twin technology. Its quality and reliability have been evaluated by the British Maritime Classification Society Lloyd's Register, and we have acquired the "Digital Twin READY" certification for a Digital Health Management (DHM) developer in the marine and offshore industry.
ClassNK's Innovation Endorsement
HermAce has acquired the "Innovation Endorsement for Products & Solutions" certification by Japan Maritime Classification Society ClassNK. This tool was evaluated for improving maintenance quality by collecting and visualizing data from Furuno equipment installed on ships and performing real-time monitoring.
DNV Security Profile 1 Compliance
HermAce completed the compliance assessment for DNV Security Profile 1, meeting the stringent requirements of IACS UR E27 as established by the Norwegian classification society.

The importance of IACS UR E27
IACS UR E27 “Cyber resilience of on-board systems and equipment” defines cybersecurity requirements for on-board systems and
equipment individually. This regulation is mandatory for newly-contracted vessels on or after 1st July, 2024, and are designed to strengthen maritime cybersecurity across the industry and our HermAce solution meets the requirements specified in IACS UR E27. This achievement reinforces Furuno’s commitment to providing secure and high-quality solutions in maritime cybersecurity.
