The FCV-295 is a state-of-the-art color digital sounder, designed to meet the demands of professional fishing operations. Equipped with a bonded 10.4" LCD, it ensures exceptional visibility, even in direct sunlight. Echoes can be displayed in 8, 16, or 64 colors, with color intensity reflecting the strength of the returned signal.  

Featuring Furuno’s free synthesizer (FFS) transceiver, the FCV-295 offers a highly flexible selection of operating frequencies. Users can choose frequencies between 28 and 200 kHz to best suit their fishing needs, with a selectable output power of 1 kW, 2 kW, or 3 kW. Various display modes and intuitive functions provide skippers with clear, user-friendly information.  

Furuno’s digital filter (FDF) technology optimizes gain settings to deliver high-definition images of underwater conditions. It enhances target separation, clearly distinguishing fish close to the seabed while minimizing noise for an ultra-sharp echo display. With this advanced filtering, the FCV-295 enables precise detection of fishing reefs and even individual fish with remarkable clarity.

The seabed's top layer is displayed in white, allowing for clear differentiation between the seabed structure and bottom fish returns. Unlike the conventional "white line" function, which applies to the strongest echoes, the white edge function enhances seabed and bottom fish discrimination by rendering a fine, precise line above the bottom contour. This remains consistent regardless of gain settings or display colors, ensuring superior clarity and accuracy.

Furuno's advanced post-processing gain control applies your gain adjustments not only to new echoes but also to all previously displayed echoes on the screen. This allows you to instantly compare past and current echoes with different gain settings, helping you quickly identify the optimal setting for your conditions. When Furuno transducers are connected and correctly configured for your fish finder model, the available operating frequency range is automatically registered and displayed in the menu. You can seamlessly adjust the frequency within this range at any time. For instance, with the Furuno 82B-35R transducer, you can select any frequency between 66 and 109 kHz. This flexibility is especially beneficial for vessels targeting multiple species or minimizing interference from other fish finders operating nearby.
