The CM265LM is a powerful 1 kW CHIRP transducer designed for in-hull installation in fiberglass or wooden hulls, with a curved-edge urethane housing ideal for tank, pocket, or cavity mounts. It features eight internal broadband ceramic assemblies for accurate depth and fast-response temperature readings. Operating across low (42–65 kHz) and medium (85–135 kHz) CHIRP frequencies with beamwidths of 25°–16° and 16°–11° respectively, it delivers exceptional target resolution in a range of depths. Weighing 6.07 kg and equipped with a 12-meter cable (no connector), it is not compatible with the DFF1-UHD.

Traditional marine Fish Finders operate at discrete frequencies such as 50 kHz and 200 kHz, use relatively short-duration transmit pulses, and use narrowband sonar transducers. In contrast, CHIRP (Compressed High-Intensity Radar Pulse) uses a precise sweep pattern of many frequencies within a long-duration transmit pulse from a broadband transducer. The equivalent sound energy transmitted into the water is 10 to 1000 times greater than a conventional marine Fish Finder. The echo energy returning to the transducer is likewise superior to that generated by a conventional transducer.
