CM275LHW a 1 kW wide-beam CHIRP transducer
The CM275LHW is a 1 kW wide-beam CHIRP transducer with a urethane housing, designed for tank, cavity, or pocket mounting in fiberglass or wooden hulls 8 meters (25') and larger. It delivers a total bandwidth of 123 kHz, covering both low (42–65 kHz, 25°–16° beam) and high (150–250 kHz, constant 25° beam) frequencies, including the popular 50 and 200 kHz ranges. Equipped with a fast-response depth and water temperature sensor, it provides superior target resolution and wide-area coverage. The transducer includes a 12 m cable and weighs 6.07 kg (13.38 lbs).
TruEcho CHIRP™
Traditional marine Fish Finders operate at discrete frequencies such as 50 kHz and 200 kHz, use relatively short-duration transmit pulses, and use narrowband sonar transducers. In contrast, CHIRP (Compressed High-Intensity Radar Pulse) uses a precise sweep pattern of many frequencies within a long-duration transmit pulse from a broadband transducer. The equivalent sound energy transmitted into the water is 10 to 1000 times greater than a conventional marine Fish Finder. The echo energy returning to the transducer is likewise superior to that generated by a conventional transducer. The combination of CHIRP, a broadband transducer, and Furuno’s superior Digital Signal Processing, results in dramatically increased fish and bottom detection : TruEcho CHIRP™.
