The PM111LM is a powerful 2 kW CHIRP transducer housed in rugged urethane, designed for precise performance across both low and medium frequencies. It operates from 30–60 kHz with a beamwidth of 19°–10° (10°–5° fore-aft) and from 80–130 kHz with a 13°–8° beamwidth, ensuring excellent target resolution at various depths. All elements are integrated into the Airmar PM111 housing for a compact, efficient design. Supplied with 12-meter cables, it’s ideal for serious offshore applications.

Traditional marine Fish Finders operate at discrete frequencies such as 50 kHz and 200 kHz, use relatively short-duration transmit pulses, and use narrowband sonar transducers. In contrast, CHIRP (Compressed High-Intensity Radar Pulse) uses a precise sweep pattern of many frequencies within a long-duration transmit pulse from a broadband transducer. The equivalent sound energy transmitted into the water is 10 to 1000 times greater than a conventional marine Fish Finder. The echo energy returning to the transducer is likewise superior to that generated by a conventional transducer.
